I have a new food discovery!
These muffin tops are a new find for me. One of my coworkers is part of a Weight Watchers group in our building, and she mentioned to me that at their last meeting everyone was raving on about these bad boys.

After my workout last night, I headed on a super sweaty hunt into the Superstore and found these in the frozen foods section (they’re located near the waffles, etc.) At $3.49 for four, I thought they were a decent price, and they did have impressive nutrition facts, so I picked up a box.
I took one out when I got home, and I have to say, at first glance I was disappointed. I had heard someone else going on about these as well, and bragging about how you get SO MUCH for merely 100 calories, so I honestly expected them to be the size of a frisbee.
Not exactly. They are about the size of a large cookie (and if you saw my chocolate chip cookies post, you know you can get a decent sized delicious cookie full of chocolatey goodness for only 88 calories ;)).
I brought one along with my packed lunch today to try it out. I ate it for my morning snack, and I have to say, it was delicious!
I had some strawbs + blubes on the side to make sure I stayed good and full throughout lunchtime yoga, since I don’t eat mah lunch until afterwards.
It worked. I did not have one hunger pang until after yoga was finished, so I was able to fully concentrate on breathing and how my body felt and didn’t think about food once (yoga was once again amazing today, by the way. I cannot get over how much I really, really like it).
It tasted a bit like cake, but not quite as sweet. I’ll be eating these again. Straight up. And by the way, for any weight watchers out there, these are apparently two points! (and apparently that’s good?)
I had a good lunch to look forward to after yoga today also:
(My iPhone likes to make my salad look bright green for some reason…)
It was kind of a clean-out-the-fridge sort of lunch, with a salad beast containing baby spinach, black beans (that didn’t make it into Mexican lasagna on Monday), leftover roasted broccoli from last night’s dinner, celery, sunflower seeds, flax seeds, and red onion, with roasted red garlic and parmesan dressing. It was pretty good, but definitely lacking in the cheese department.
Also some leftover chicken noodle soup as well.
Spoga didn’t end up happening today (minus the yoga part), as I got home late and missed the beginning of spinning. This is the problem with working out in the afternoons and not in the morning. I would much prefer to workout first thing in the morning, but my gym isn’t open quite early enough for me to make it to work on time. Once the weather is nicer, my plan is to run outside in the mornings a couple days a week before work so I can get it out of the way!
Welp, I’m off to enjoy my Friday eve. I’m excited for the weekend. I always find that short weeks end up feeling like the longest weeks, even though I loved having Monday off, and even though I love my job ;). I’m doing some fun things job-wise next week also, so stay tuned!
